"This combination of practical problem-solving and courtroom experience allows me to deliver fair, effective results—whether that means resolving a dispute efficiently or ensuring someone finally gets their day in court!"
Throughout my legal career, I have practiced across nearly every area of the law, giving me a comprehensive understanding of how our legal system works in real life. I have handled civil, criminal, juvenile, and administrative cases, as well as transactional and consulting matters. I have represented individuals on every side of a case and at every stage of litigation—from filing through trial and appeal.
In civil matters, my experience includes cases involving real estate, property and boundary disputes, construction, water rights, business and contract disputes, torts, and family law. I have also handled guardianships, adoptions, conservatorships, probate matters, trusts, wills, and estate planning.
In criminal cases, I have represented defendants and also advocated for victims of crime in district, justice, and juvenile courts, ensuring that victims are heard and that the process is fair and just.
My juvenile court experience includes serving as a guardian ad litem—representing the best interests of children in abuse, neglect, welfare, and protective order proceedings—as well as representing parents in those same matters.
I have handled administrative cases involving the Utah Department of Human Services, the Division of Child and Family Services, and the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL), navigating complex regulatory processes and protecting a clients’ rights.
In transactional work, I have helped individuals and businesses plan for the future by forming business entities, drafting contracts and operating agreements, preparing trusts and wills, and handling real estate transactions, property agreements, and settlements.
I am also a trained mediator and certified collaborative professional. When possible, I work to resolve disputes through collaboration and interest-based negotiation to avoid unnecessary litigation—particularly in family cases, where preserving respect and healthy co-parenting relationships matters. When resolution is not possible, I am fully prepared to take a case to court and advocate fiercely on my client’s behalf.
